While assisting at a recording session in New York City for one of her
music heroes, Julie realized she had yet to professionally record any of her
own material. She decided to record her first single with Guy Parker, whom
she was working for. In a strange twist, she hired her boss and she
continues to work on projects with Parker.
Julie started to gain momentum when her first single. "Tonight," was
recognized as a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2007.
It is also receiving airplay on various streaming online radio stations on
live365.com.
“Tonight” has been featured as “Track of the Day”& “Track of the Week”
in the electronic & electronica categories on Garageband.com. It has
also been among various weekly reviewers’ picks in electronic, including
best female vocals, best programming, best production, best mood and

Julie received an honorable mention in the 16th Annual Billboard
World Song Contest for her song "Nothing". It was also recognized as
“Track of the Day” and among weekly reviewers’ picks in the electronic
category on Garageband.com, including best female vocals, best
keyboards and most original.
Julie was recently recognized as a semi-finalist in the 2009 UK
Songwriting Contest for her song, "Never Awake." It placed among the top
23 percent of 6,000 songs in the international contest held annually.
